Fire @ Masjid Kampong Siglap

Assalammualaikum wr wb, Received an email from one of our members that a fire broke out at Masjid Kampong Siglap around 2pm today and it has been reported at the Channel News Asia website around 3pm. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed at about 3pm that its firefighters were still putting out the fire, although the fire is under control. It is understood that a man in his 40s is injured. Viewers who called the MediaCorp hotline described a "bang" or explosive sound, and said that the area is enveloped in thick smoke. A resident also said that nearby apartments have been evacuated. The mosque is near Victoria School. - CNA/yb
